Places of Welcome is a national initiative we are happy to be a part of. They are run by local community groups who want everyone in their neighbourhood to have a place to go for a friendly face, a cup of tea and a conversation if and when they need it. With over 200 across the UK, each Place of Welcome is unique but all provide a place for people to connect with one another, find belonging and offer gifts and skills that interest them. You can read more about the organisation at placesofwelcome.org.uk
Our Branches Place of Welcome is open twice a week, and there are free brews and biscuits (and often cake) for anyone who wants to drop in. On Tuesdays we host Our Rochdale who offer help and advice on Council Services and wellbeing. They set up an information stall, and can point you in the right direction, when you need help from local services. ourrochdale.org.uk
We'd love to welcome you, we're a friendly bunch, of mixed ages, and we love to meet new people. Sometimes we have crafts and cooking, some of our ladies bring their knitting, sometimes it's just a brew and natter. Come along and tell us what you can do.
